My husband Rich and I moved to Millville by the Sea from Bound Brook, NJ in August 2016. Before my retirement, I worked in local government for Branchburg Township, NJ for more than 29 years as the Township Clerk and I also served as the Acting Administrator on two different occasions. I was very active with County organizations as well as State and International Municipal Clerks Associations. On two separate occasions, I testified before the NJ State Assembly and the NJ State Senate on proposed legislation. I was also honored to receive the prestigious Municipal Clerk of the Year award.
I was on the Millville by the Sea Lakeside Village HOA as well as a member of the MBTS Social Committee. During that time, I was also a Millville Volunteer where we stuffed tax bills, packed backpacks for children in foster care, and other miscellaneous things.
When we moved to Millville, I knew I wanted to get involved with local government (I always joke that local government is in my DNA!). When there was a vacancy on the Board of Adjustment, I applied for it and was appointed to it. When a vacancy occurred on the Town Council a year later, I took that opportunity and submitted my name for consideration. After interviewing for the position with Ron Belinko and then Mayor Bob Gordon, I was selected over a few other candidates who also applied, and I was appointed to the Town Council in 2019. I have served another term since and am currently serving my third term. As a member of the Town Council, I have served as Treasurer, and for the past three years, I have been the Deputy Mayor.
I have also been a volunteer for Operation Seas the Day for several years overseeing registration when the veterans arrive at the VFW. For the last two years, Rich and I have also chaired the food packaging committee at Giant for the Vets.
Flower gardening and birdwatching are some of my hobbies and as a sports enthusiast, you can always find me cheering for my beloved NY Mets and Las Vegas Raiders!
